Bray Wanderers booked their place in the second round of the Under-19 Cup competition with a clear-cut victory over last year's runners up, Drogheda United.

Ryan Swan, who had made a cameo appearance off the bench the previous night in Athlone, struck either side of the interval to give the home side the effective control of the tie.

Drogheda pulled one back with a 77th minute penalty by Fionn Reilly, but Nathan Brennan restored the hosts' two-goal cushion five minutes later.

The visitors ensured a nervous finale for the Seagulls when they scored another consolation, a late late one, but Bray held on until the final whistle.
