Shane O’Neill had Wanderers' first shot on target after 26 minutes but failed to trouble Paul Hunt in the Pat’s goal.

A minute later former Wanderers striker Paul Byrne headed over the Bray crossbar when well placed.

Another former Bray player, Conor Sinnott, opened the scoring after 32 minutes when he fired low past Brian Kane.

Six minutes later the visitors increased their lead. Alex Williams played in Byrne down the left and his cross was turned home by David McAllister.

On 43 minutes Williams headed over the Bray crossbar when he should have scored.

Bray began the second half well. On 53 minutes Shane O’Neill’s free kick on the left struck the post with Hunt beaten.

On 67 minutes Jake Kelly was fouled by Hunt in the penalty area and the striker converted the resultant penalty himself, firing low to Hunt’s left.

Wanderers had further chances with Chris Shields firing over on 74 minutes and two minutes later Shane O’Neill fired wide after being set up by John Mulroy.

The Saints sealed victory on 82 minutes when substitutes Ryan Guy and Vinnie Faherty combined, Guy’s cross from the right turned home by Faherty.
