ATHLONE TOWN | 0-1 | BRAY WANDERERS | | | Conor Knight 24 |
First Division Lissywollen 06 Oct 2023 A late revival of sorts saw Bray open the tiniest sliver of light on the prospect of reaching the playoffs with a second victory in two weeks. Midway through the first half, Conor Knight doubled his Bray goal tally with an easy tap in at the near post following good interplay between Harry Groome and Callum Thompson. Bray keeper Matt Connor's clean sheet contributed to the victory by finding ways to turn the ball away several times, especially in the second half. He denied Frantz Pierrot twice, as well as Noah van Geenen, while former Seagull Enda Minogue in the home goal likewise thwarted Chris Lyons twice, and Bray substitute Conor Crowley could only find the woodwork.
