TREATY UNITED | 2-2 | BRAY WANDERERS | Enda Curran 9 | | Kieran Waters 60 | Jack Lynch 79 | | Paul Fox 84 |
First Division Markets Field 13 May 2022 What looked for most of the first hour like Bray succumbing yet again to an early strike was rescued by a much-improved second half performance. Nine minutes in, Enda Curran, who almost from the whistle had been Treaty's threat on the Bray goal, latched on to a Joe Collins cross and powered it past Michael Kelly to open the home account. The Seagulls seemed mesmerised by yet another early reverse, and survived ti half-time almost by accident and a combination of offside decisions including one when Treaty skipper Jack Lynch netted. But there was no accident in Kieran "Marty" Waters's equaliser a quarter of an hour into the second period. He managed to find the ball after a defence-splitting pass from Darragh Lynch and a rebound off the woodwork, drilling his shot low past Jack Brady. With little more than ten minutes left, Treaty restored their lead in a well-taken goal by their captain, but their relief was short-lived, as five minutes later Paul Fox looped a hopeful ball in behind the home keeper following a long cross from the right.
