First Division Carlisle Grounds 29 Apr 2022 Yet another stalemate, with Bray lucky to escape a home loss tonight in the Carlisle Grounds. Worse might have been expected when a fairly soft penalty was conceded midway through the first half, but second string keeper Michael Kelly got his knee in the way of Beineón O'Brien Whitmarsh's weak spot-kick and punched it away on its return from on high. The Bray defence got itself in a tangle within a minute, and conceded an equally soft goal. It took until time added at the end of the first period before Kurtis Byrne managed to lose a defender and fire low into Seán Barron's net. And despite occasional scares and a couple of decent saves at each end in the second half, that was as good as it got.
