Honours even at the Showgrounds tonight, where neither side was able to penetrate the other's defence.

Another draw was hardly the result either manager was looking for before the game, but as against that a clean sheet is never to be sneezed at.

Micheál Schlingermann was Sligo's saviour, keeping out several good shots by Gary McCabe, while Peter Cherrie, returning between the posts for Bray, had little to do apart from watching the game.

Somehow, in a relatively featurless match, Referee Rob Rogers found it necessary to issue three all-but-simultaneous cautions just before the end of the first half.
