Non-League EA Cup tie for Bray

2015-02-12

Bray will be guests of Crumlin United in the first round of the 2015 EA Sports Cup, to be played on Monday 09 March.

The draw, made this morning, sees Cork City, Dundalk, St Patricks Athletic and Shamrock Rovers all getting automatic byes into the Second Round, as they have qualified for European competition or for the Setanta Cup.

The first two rounds are drawn on a pooled regional basis. Two teams from each pool will be in an open draw for the Quarter-Finals.

There are four non-League teams this year: Ulster Senior League champions Cockhill Celtic; Leinster Senior League champions Crumlin United; Munster Senior League champions University College Cork; and the Mayo Football League.

Coincidentally, the three provincial league champions will also be taking part in the First Round of the FAI Cup this year, through their participation in the Intermediate Cup.

The draw featured two clubs who have never previously played in the competition. League newcomers Cabinteely were drawn away to neighbours UCD while UCC face a trip to Wexford Youths.
