Bray positive for Rovers tie

2014-04-20

Bray Wanderers will travel on Monday with a positive attitude, despite their continuing injury crisis.

Wanderers' young players have continued to step up to the mark, as many first team choices are still recuperating from injury.

The pressure will be on the returning players to regain their places after some excellent displays by the remaining squad in the last few games.

Wanderers came through Friday's draw against Derry City with no additions to their long injury list.

They go into Monday's game against Shamrock Rovers with the same squad as Friday. They still have to plan without six first team squad members: Danny O'Connor, Jake Kelly, Eric McGill, Shane O'Connor, Adam Hanlon and Shane Byrne.

Speaking after Friday's draw with Derry City at the Carlisle Grounds Manager Alan Mathews said "We were excellent against Derry, we played really well and on another day would have won."

He added "We will take a lot of positives from the game and take them into Monday's game at Tallaght Stadium, one of the best stadia in the country."
