Ireland U18s face Italy

Ireland’s Under-18 side start their European Olympic Tournament tonight with a game against the hosts, Italy, tonight.

Noel O’Reilly has included two debutants, Eugene Ferry (Derry City) and Darren Dennehy (Kerry Schoolboy’s), in the starting line-up.

St Josephs Boys striker Alan Judge is also in.

The game is taking place in Lignano, Sabbiadoro (kickoff was at 7pm Irish time).

The Republic of Ireland is hoping for a repeat of the tournament four years ago, when Noel O’Reilly took his side to gold at the European Youth Multi-Sports Olympics in Murcia, Spain.
