Bray's Under-19s ended their season with a touch of the swagger that marked their start back last year.

Late goals marked their come-back after visitors Athlone Town had taken the lead shortly before the break.

The Seagulls should have taken advantage of their early dominance, but were unable to convert any of three corners in the first ten minutes.

Manager Maciej Tarnogrodzki took the oppportunity of the final league game to give reserve keeper Marcin Kowalczyk a turn between the sticks, but the young netminder had very little action to keep him warm.

And it was well into the second period before the Young Gulls began their destruction of the Town, skipper Paul Murphy and defender Danny Blackbyrne both on the scoresheet within two minutes of each other weith but a quarter of an hour to go.

Winger Shane Barnes wrapped up the scoring - and their season - two minutes before the end of normal time.

The final list of Southern Division play-off qualifiers is still not clear, with three matches still to be played and as many as six clubs still in contention.

If Bray had kept up their form through the season as they did in the beginning, they could easily be among them now.
