An early early strike by Sean Noble proved to be the only score of a game during which Bray's U19s could have racked up a serious challenge to Cork City's goal difference.

Noble, together with Michael Brown and Ryan Swan, should have put several other chances away, especially during the first half, when Bray totally dominated.

With the margin so tight, Salthill's single chance of note might have deprived the hosts of two points, early in the second half, but John Kennedy, Meeting a cross by Conor McClody, failed to get his shot past the alert Jason Ryan.

For a second week in a row, Bray finished with ten men, substitute Nathan O'Rourke putting himself out of contention for the trip to Cobh next weekend with a clumsy challenge on Gary Kinneen.
