Roche clears as Hannigan watches

Bray Wanderers Under-21s squeaked through to the 2nd Round of the Enda McGuill Cup, courtesy of Pat Hannigan's left-hand post.

The match only really came to life in the second period, and particularly after the sending off of Keith Kelch just before the hour.

Bray went behind to a well-composed Belgrove side in the late stages of normal time, but equalised with a Maurice Dunne penalty in the 89th minute.

Neither side could break through in Extra Time, and though visiting keeper Stephen Beirne got a touch to both Michael Roche's and Conor Sinnott's penalties he failed to keep them out.

Pat Hannigan, who had pulled off a couple of fine saves in play, had no luck with the set-pieces either, but John Nealey had the misfortune to see his shot to the right-hand corner come back off the woodwork.
