Heartbreak for the home faithful as Bray substitute Kael Manahan, on the pitch barely a minute and deep in time added, turned the ball into Stephen McGuinness's net to give the visitors an unexpected share of the points.

A fairly colourless first period had been livened up half an hour in when Seagulls skipper Conor Clifford slipped a laser-like ball through to the unmarked Paul Fox, who beat Alex Moody with some style to open the scoring.

Things begam to look better still for the hosts when Fox turned provider midway through the second half, with a short pass from the left at the climax of a counter-attack allowing Darragh Lynch to power the ball past the Wexford keeper from a tight angle.

But the two-goal cushion lasted barely two minutes with Conor Davis slipping the ball through a slightly perplexed defence as Referee Oliver Moran played the advantage and substitute Aaron Dobbs made no mistake with the gift.

Bray looked like holding on until the end when Manahan, trying desperately to defend a late attack by Wexford, saw his wild header crash to the back of Stephen McGuinness's net.
