It wasn't a night for the faint-hearted, with rain barreling down just before the start, and the travelling party had to endure a full hour of disappointment before they saw a footballing rainbow.

With less than five minutes left to play, the Seagulls looked like running out of road, trailing to a Karl Fitzsimons goal scored midway through the first half.

But a moment of madness by Wexford's Yussuf Azeez earned him a caution and the visitors a penalty which Gary Shaw duly dispatched to restore equality.

In a dream-like spell straight out of "Roy of the Rovers", Seán McEvoy then put Wanderers ahead within a minute, and substitute Darragh Lynch nailed the points - if nailing was even necessary at that stage - three minutes into time added.

So the Bray side headed the table for at least 24 hours, with four of the rest of the top six to play on Saturday, and two of those only three points behind as things stood.
