Leinster Senior Cup

The Seagulls have never won the Leinster Senior Cup, though they - and their predecessors at the Carlisle - have taken part in a string of finals.

2019 is not going to change that after Cabinteely progressed to the Fifth Round this afternoon at the Carlisle Grounds at the Wicklow side's expense.

Bray almost pulled a rabbit out of the hat in the final minutes, but the damage had been done early in the first period.

Former Bray youngster Luke Clucas put his visiting side up less than ten minutes into the game when referee Stephen Parnell pointed to the spot after Brandon McCann's incautious challenge on Nika Kalandarishvili.

And Cabo skipper Seán Fitzpatrick raised the stakes even higher with his first half injury time strike.

Both clubs having fielded second strings - Bray with no players who started Friday night's League match, and the Borough side with only one - it took some time for Bray to get their act together, and it was one of those who had already played some senior football this season, Luka Lovic, who pulled one back for the home side late on.

But a recovery was always going to be a serious ask, and the gas just wasn't there.
