Bishopsgate incidents condemned

Bray Wanderers FC have issued a formal statement condemning incidents involving supporters at the club's game against Longford Town on Friday.

The incidents included the use of smoke flares and throwing fireworks onto the pitch, as well as violent and threatening altercations with stewards and others.

The club said it "has a zero tolerance policy towards this type of violent and abusive behaviour."

The FAI and the host club also issued statements condemning the behaviour of a section of Bray's fans.

Some reports said a teenager had been arrested.
