Bray host Cobh as matches resume

2020-07-27

Cobh Ramblers will be the first guests at the Carlisle Grounds as 'closed door' games mark the resumption of the League.

There is no indication yet of when most fans will be permitted to access the matches, though a limited number will be able to attend at present - currently there's an overall limit of 200 persons, which includes teams, and all club and ground staffs.

The run-up to resumption included good and bad news. Bray youngsters Andy Moran and Leigh Kavanagh will relish their move to Brighton & Hove Albion FC, while Manager Gary Cronin tries to fill the gaps with the signing of midfielder Callum Thompson, from Wolverhampton Wanderers via Bohemians, and defender Seán McEvoy from Ballinamallard United.

Warm-up games included matches with Premier Division opposition: an away draw with Shelbourne and a home win against Waterford were both encouraging.
