UCD return to premier football

With a late equaliser at the Belfield Bowl last night, the Students ended their four-year exile from top flight football as First Division Champions again.

Finn Harps needed to win to keep their hopes of the divisional title alive, and when Keith Cowan scored with only ten minutes left it began to look like they were on track.
But only for less than a minute, as Conor Davis levelled for the home team, who held on to gain the point they needed to confirm their Championship.
It's the third time the College have been promoted from the second tier since the start of the century, and the third time they have been First Division Champions.
