Cronin returns as Gaffer

2018-08-07

Gary Cronin has been appointed First Team Manager at Bray Wanderers. He replaces caretaker Graham Kelly, who is leaving following a second spell as stand-in.

Gary spent three years at the Carlisle Grounds as a player, signing in late 2006 and leaving after the 2009 season. He played mostly at left-back.

Since then he has been a player and later assistant manager at Longford Town, and just last month completed his UEFA Pro licence.

"This is exactly the type of fresh challenge I was seeking,” Gary said following his appointment.

“It isn’t a quick fix. Despite the challenges this season on and off the pitch, I am driven by the project we’re building and positive about a brighter future.

“As a former Wanderers player, I’m well aware of how passionate the supporters are, so getting those fans back to the Carlisle Grounds, and adding new ones of all ages, will be crucial to our progress.”
