U19 League enters Play-offs

2015-03-31

Bohemian FC and Limerick are the Northern and Southern Elite Under-19 Champions for 2014/15.

With one match outstanding in the Southern Division, however, two of the Play-off places are still undecided.

In the Northern Division, Derry City were runners-up, and edged Dundalk out of fourth place with a last-day victory over the Louth side.

St Patricks Athletic were comfortably clear of danger, and it was Shelbourne who slipped into fourth place by beating Sligo Rovers in Tolka Park.

In the South, Waterford United were runners-up, but Shamrock Rovers, currently in third place, and Cobh Ramblers in fourth are still in danger.

Last year's champions, Cork City, have a single game in hand, against UCD. A draw in Belfield would see the Leesiders slide ahead of Cobh (on goal difference only), while a win there would put them ahead of the Hoops.

Quarter-Finals are due to be played the weekend after Easter, which probably explains why the Enda McGuill Cup Final, between UCD and Derry, has been brought forward to tomorrow evening.
